Peace of Mind Organizing

Creating lasting order for lasting peace of mind

Chronic Disorganization

If you’ve struggled with getting and staying organized for a long time and if being disorganized affects your daily life, then you’re probably chronically disorganized. You may have felt at times that you’ll never get organized. But that doesn’t need to be true. If you work with an organizer who specializes in working with clients who are challenged by chronic disorganization, you’ll have the opportunity to develop organizational systems that work for the way you think. If you have difficulty letting go of items (many chronically disorganized people have a special relationship with the stuff in their lives), a trained organizer can help guide you toward making decisions to let go of things that aren’t actively adding to your life.

I specialize in working with chronically disorganized clients. I am the only Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization® (CPO-CD®) in the St. Louis area. I have taken extensive training in working with chronically disorganized clients through the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (formerly NSGCD). I has attended eight of their national conferences and taken more than 100 of their teleclasses. I have earned all ten of ICD’s Level I certificates of study and all three of the organization’s Level II specialist certificates. I earned my CPO-CD® certification in October 2009, after completing a 20-month mentored and peer-reviewed educational program. In November 2008, I earned the credential CPO®, Certified Professional Organizer, a certification conferred by the Board of Certification of Professional Organizers.

Just as important as my training is the fact that I really love working with chronically disorganized clients. I am patient and non-judgmental and take extreme satisfaction in making a real difference in their lives. I’ve had the opportunity to work in some extremely cluttered situations (including assisting on a shoot of the A&E reality show Hoarders), so you need never feel ashamed or worried about letting me into your home, even if it’s been a long time since you’ve invited anyone in. Having struggled with organizational issues myself in my life, I bring empathy and understanding to my work.
