Peace of Mind Organizing

Make space. Find peace. Feel joy.

Meet the Team

At Peace of Mind Organizing, we typically work in organizing teams, though we do offer one-on-one organizing as well. I do the initial consults for team organizing and you work with my team members during the organizing sessions. My team members include two employees, along with some independent contractors.

Beth Hunyar, Lead Organizer

Beth joined Peace of Mind Organizing in 2019. She’s a native St. Louisan and has three kids, ranging from grade school to high school.

What made you want to be a professional organizer? Even as a young kid I knew that I liked things being neat and tidy. I feel most relaxed when everything has a home and l am thrilled that I get to do that on a professional level and help others.

What special talents or skills do you bring to your organizing clients? I have a bachelors degree in Social Work from SLU and I think that a lot of the tools and theories I learned are very helpful while working with clients. I have also worked as a social worker in a nursing home and with developmentally disabled adults. Both of those positions have given me unique experiences that I bring to clients.

What’s your favorite thing about being an organizer? My favorite thing about being an organizer is that I feel like I get to share my gifts. I am a people person who enjoys helping and I feel fulfilled helping others feel at peace in their space.

What’s your favorite space to organize? I love decluttering an overwhelming space and seeing the dramatic difference at the end of a job. Bringing that level of peace of mind to clients is the best. I also really enjoy pantries and closets, but there isn’t really an area that I don’t want to tackle.

What’s your superpower? My super power is a deep well of empathy.

What might people be surprised to learn about you? People are often surprised to learn that I married my high school sweetheart and that we are still madly in love.

“Beth and Lydia are full of suggestions and tips to help me make decisions. They have both been an absolute joy to work with. They have gone above and beyond to help with other small tasks that are difficult for me, like carrying my laundry upstairs or changing some pillow cases. They are both kind, fun, and it’s just been a really good fit.”

Lydia Boda, Organizer

Lydia joined Peace of Mind Organizing in 2022. In addition to being an organizer, she is a sculptor and visual artist. She has a BFA in Sculpture and Functional Art. She and her husband, who is also an artist, have two wonderful dogs.

What made you want to be a professional organizer? When I was a child I loved to organize all my toys and clean my room, my favorite toy was a working dirt devil vacuum I got when I was seven. As someone with ADHD, I have found that keeping my spaces organized based on my routines is so helpful and can ease my mind.

What special talents or skills do you bring to your organizing clients? As an artist, I have an eye for organizing things visually. I enjoy the process of figuring out what might fit where so that a person can see what they need when they need it.

What’s your favorite thing about being an organizer? I really enjoy getting to know the needs of a client, by seeing how we can help them find functional organization tools based on their routines.

What’s your favorite space to organize? I tend to enjoy organizing spaces that are high-traffic areas like front rooms, living rooms, and kitchens. I love to see how the client uses or wishes to use the space and then organize based on that.

What’s your superpower? As a sculptor, I find my superpower lies in spacial awareness. Finding visual patterns and knowing exactly what is going to fit into what.

What might people be surprised to learn about you? I love to learn new things and try to learn something new at least once a day; reading books, watching documentaries, trying new recipes, and much more.

Both Beth and Lydia are subscribers to the Institute for Challenging Disorganization and have earned ICD’s Foundation Certificate in Chronic Disorganization.
