On December 30, I was interviewed by Jennifer Blome and Wendy Wiese on The Jennifer and Wendy Show on KTRS-AM here in St. Louis. It was lots of fun and we covered a lot of topics, including whether people are born organized (or disorganized), the difficulty of parting with sentimental items, my advice for decluttering and organizing, Marie Kondo, and the benefits of living with fewer clothes.
In case you’d like to hunker in this holiday week and read some great organizing advice from professionals, I wanted to share a couple of resources that I was included in. These are both outlets I’ve been featured in more than once and it’s always nice to be asked back!

There’s a new publication from the Real Simple brand that just hit the newsstands and I’m delighted to be included in it. Real Simple Clutter-Free Home is a compilation, with articles taken from a variety of publications.

I am always delighted to be included in Secrets of Getting Organized, an ad-free magazine published by Better Homes and Gardens. I received an email recently that the new issue, Summer 2020, has just come out and I’m quoted in it! This Summer 2020 issue is an exact reprint of the Early Spring 2018, which is back by popular demand. The cover is different, but the interior is the same. They also reprinted that issue last year, as the Summer 2019 issue.

I don’t really have a bucket list, but every now and then I think about making one. If I did make one, I’d probably include: “Be quoted in Real Simple.” And I’d be able to check it off! (Am I the only one who adds items to my task list that I’ve already done, just so I can check it off?)

In March, I was pleased to be asked by the big St. Louis talk radio station, KMOX-AM, to do an interview on helping people let go of stuff. The Marie Kondo-fueled decluttering craze prompted the story. The reporter, Megan Lynch, a KMOX news veteran, asked really thoughtful questions and the interview was a lot of fun. I was also thrilled to be recording in a big, professional studio. I talk into a microphone in my home-office podcasting studio, but it was nothing like this!
